I have 2 modern tassle bookmarks but have no idea who the makers are. Can anyone help? One is clearly a commemorative 2002 Queen's Golden Jubilee bookmark made by HBH.

Hi,
Well done on researching until you got a positive result.
The Sheffield firm of Harrison Brothers & Howson can be traced back to Thomas Sansom & Sons c.1800. This company was aquired by James Wiliam Harrison, Henry Harrison and William Howson in 1847. Harrison Brothers & Howson continued until the latter part of the 20th century when they were wound up. The right to use the name was aquired in 1978 by Ben J. Dix of London Ltd.

Hello.
My references show that Harrison Brothers & Howson was bought by Viners c.1925.
Viners continued to use the Alpha trademark.
