J. R. Armiger?

I assume J. R. Armiger is themanufacturer, by the signature on the back of the fork, but I can't find him anywhere. Can anyone help? Can you identify the pattern? Thank you.

Hello.

The marks on the left of sterling were used by Gorham. Check here:

J. R. Armiger was likely the retailer.
Can't help with the pattern. Maybe others can.

Butttercup, introduced in 1899, very popular pattern.

It was introduced after James Armiter's death. He and other family members were killed when his house burned in 1896. The full story can be found here. The company continued under his name until the 1930s.
