Maker BJD on 1976 18K swan pendant?

Bought this large, nicely crafted London 1976 18k yellow and white gold swan pendant for my Mom about 20 years ago, the seller also had a stunning crane pendant by the same maker. Realize that it's often a long shot to find recent British makers, but would anyone happen to recognize the mark? Had a hard time photographing - it's sans-serif BJD in a clipped-corner rectangle. Thanks for any help offered.

Hello Cheryl,

BJD isn't in my list of marks. As you say it's a modern one and therefore unlikely to be recorded at all outside the Assay Office itself.
Your quickest course, I think, would be trying Goldsmiths Hall direct. The Deputy Warden's E-mail address is "admin@londonassayoffice.co.uk".
