These are nice fairly simple Austrian silver dinner forks. The quality mark has a C and a 3 which is easily identified on this site. Would anyone be familiar with the maker who used the mark V K?

Hi Silverly,
I don't know this Prague maker's mark, but believe the piece was probably made by Klinkosch in Vienna. Have a look at this post, the pattern is not identical, but nearly so, the only difference is the bevel edges along the stem.
Regards, Tom

Thank you very much Tom. It truly is nice to have a name to work with.

This is a mark on a fork just like the others in this thread. The symbols in the triangle at the top look like mountain peaks, The Cross of Lorena and the number five. Any information about this marking would be very much appreciated.

Hello
For the
fineness mark, please look here = »
Czeschoslowakia«:

Maker's mark
FB, in a rectangle cartouche, is that of »
Frantisek Bibus«.
If you type the keyword
Bibus, in »
Search the Silver Forums«, you would get a lot of additional information on that high grade "Silver ware" (and of course "Plated ware" too) factory.
Kind regards silverport

Silverport,
Just amazing, thank you. I found an example of the exact same fork I have manufactured by Frantisek Bibus in Moravská Trebová.
Kind regards,
Pat

Hello
That’s Frantisek Bibus Plated model 450 — look in this case to the detail between “Ship” and “stem”.
Kind regards silverport

Thanks again silverport. The pattern of my one fork is identical. Again, I am overwhelmed. Fortunately for me in this case, the silver content is not the same.
