Hi,
I recently picked up what appeared to be an 18th Century French beaker and was surprised to find this mark on the bottom. The quality of the reproduction was excellent and I hope we can identify the maker.
Thanks, Tom

Hi,
A member kindly messaged that he'd once heard mention of a 'North Attleboro Plate Co.' and it might be worth following the thread.
A web search garnered nothing, but a search of google books revealed a single sentence in the (Limited View) Jewelers Circular v. 104 - year 1933:
"The North Attleboro Plating Company is the name of a new North Attleboro concern, which has commenced business adjoining the Clark factory."
It seems they are the likely owner's of this mark. If anyone has access to any post 1933 Attleboro directories, we should be able find their years of activity.
Regards, Tom

Tom,
I had a look at the 1933-34 Attleboro, North Attleboro and Plainville directory, but unfortunately there was nothing useful in it. My guess is that the North Attleboro Plate Co would show up in the following year's directory if 1933 was the company's first year in business. I don't have access to that directory, and the directories that follow with in a four or five years have nothing either.
