Hello

Your knob is a Danish product. Maker »C (hammer) C« sorry I couldn't tell you, because I haven't a detailed Danish Maker's Marks register.

»D (hammer) A« = »Dansk Arbeide«, a Danish Products (of all kind of production) sales promotion organization.

In between you've to read a little bit - but it's very informative.

Look here:

D (hammer) A, in a shield = Dansk Arbejde -> http://www.925-1000.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=12551" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Thanks-I thought Norwegian due to the 830 S mark. Can 830 S indicate Denmark also? This is great.

Signification of »... S« in Scandinavian Country

Hello

To numericals added letter S stand in Denmark, Sweden and Norway for Silver.

»925-1000« contributar Qrts has explained that same signification in Finland has the additional letter H = Hopea (Finish word for Silver).

These two different additions (they aren't always added!) could be a guide line to Scandinavian Silver.

But be attent: Also foreign exporters of Silver items, who exported to Scandinavian country, added these letters to fineness numericals. So it could be, that some item who bear S or H aren't of Scandinavian origin.

Kind regards silverport
