Any info on this artist ? Pictures Included this time.
I've researched and could not find any info on this.
I did have it checked out by my jewler and he verified it to be silver and the center to be solid gold.

This is not Pineda's crown, but could be attributed Plata Real which oftentimes used a crown with their mark. Billie Hougart only mentions three entries for Eagle 38 and Antonio Pineda with Los Castillo are two of them. The other is Miguel Garcia Martinez who was main designer for Rancho Alegre.

Actually, there is another artist for Eagle 38, LHM.

Is LHM a person or a group ? I could not find any info on that.
Thanks

I believe this is definitely a mark used by Plata Real. I have attached a link to a pair of earrings from the Trocadero website (earrings are sold, so I though it would be OK). It is the exact same mark, with the addition of the name "Plata Real". http://www.trocadero.com/vintageadvanta ... store.html
Hope this solves the mystery. I have the same mark on an old St. Christopher medal.

That's a similar crown but not the same one. I wonder if there is another maker that uses the crown in the OP. The Hougart book says Plata Real only sometimes uses a crown, they most often just mark with words.

It's the same mark. Please understand that the same mark, impressed in silver, which is very soft, often vary from one piece to another and do not always look identical.

If you look at the 2 pics side by side there are marked differences in the crowns not attributable to stamping variations. I tried copying them to post them side by side for comparison but the linked one wouldn't allow it.

I surrender...the marks are not the same. Your mark has the LHM mark under the crown that is mentioned in Billy's book. Now, if we could just find out who the heck that is, we might know something.
