Hi Trev
You may be right about it being Spainsh, it does seem to fit. I have googled and looked about, but can find little other information on Spanish hallmarks. Do you have any leads? Thanks
Rich
P.S. I think it says you are the site moderator. I would like to suggest a new forum category for people that have marks to ID that have no idea of the country of origin. That would eliminate the quandry of whether to do multiple listings.

Hi Rich,
Hopefully an answer will be forthcoming soon, we have at least a couple of members well versed in Spanish marks.
Thanks for your suggestion regarding a possible new forum. I believe, however, that the posting requirements cover most angles for selection of where to place a question. In this case a scan of the 'Guide to World Hallmarks' page would have provided the necessary clue as to which forum should be selected, but if there was still doubt, then the silverplate forums are a good place to start and then one of the moderators can move it to a more appropriate forum depending on the responces.
I hope the above does not sound 'snotty', it's really not meant to come across like that. Any suggestions from members that may improve the website are always welcomed and appreciated.
Is it an illusion, are there two 'A's on the palette?
Regards Trev.

Hi Trev
They could be A's, and inverted they also look like Y's or V's. I hope someone will tell us! Thanks
Rich
