I've found the Lion in the "Poinçons d'Argente"by Tardy, page 49, and it says Germany - Weimar - late XVII century, in the 925-1000 site - http://www.925-1000.com/Fgerman_marks_b1884_4.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; - it says Weimar or Heidelberg, the other one i've found in the Mark4 site like FLEUR DE LYS - from Germany - Niesse - (1604-1800), and the crowned R i could not find anywhere, can anybody help me ?

Tanks

Best regards,

Friedrich Reusswig, Hanau, 1903-1926.

Hello Sergio

Welcome to the Forum.

Please look here by Friedrich Reusswig:

http://www.925-1000.com/Fgerman_hanau_marks_01.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

By the way, »Veiburg« in Tardy isn't »Weimar« - but »Weilburg (Lahn)«, the former capital of the Duchy Nassau; German history of 1806-1866.

Lions, Eagle' and many other were so often used as a symbol, that's always necessary to observe more details.

Kind regards silverport

The "Weimar" mark in the 925-1000.com Encyclopedia is prabably the townmark of Gera in Thuringia.
