Hello everyone,
I am glad I found this site (thank you) as I have several sterling silver collectibles I can't quite identify the maker's marks on and am also very grateful others are willing to help. :o)
I will be posting some of my other items off and on in new topics (as guidelines state) for marking identity help as I can get to them...I have a 7 year old son who keeps me pretty busy!
First I have these earrings, each marked on the back (I can make out a "925, Mexico" going around the larger hallmark) and have a pretty checkerboard design on the front in a bronze color. I would love to know the name of the technique/material used if anyone knows that but the mark is of course the most important. The mark appears to be similar to some I saw on the Mexican silver marks page but I cannot match it up to a name, not knowing what to look for really.
Please see photos below. I tried to take the pictures as well as I could so you will have something to work with. Thanks in advance for any info you can provide and your kindness for devoting your time and efforts in assisting.
Have a blessed day,
Sara

Re: Maker ID 4 Unique Mexican Silver Checkerboard Earrings P
The mark is AE inside a heart shaped M but the maker has never been ID'd. It's also been seen on pieces signed Rancho Alegre and popowski but as far as I know nobody knows what the relation is.
Without the other marks there is no relation to those designers.
