Hi, I'm new to this forum. I'd like to know if this is a Liberty mark or possibly a Ledsam and Vale mark?

The "o" on "Co" is very small and has a line underneath it (not a dot).
I haven't got a clue what it's used for. It's got what looks like a pinapple type decoration. Could it be a fruit bowl?
Thanks.

as far as im aware its actually lanson and co. ive been trying to find out about liberty marks too, and have just been going through a book of birmingham hallmarks, and just happened to notice the one youre having problems with!
The lanson and co hallmark is " L&Co", with a very small o and a line underneath it. it was registered in september 1971.
hope thats useful.

Not sure of the size of this bowl, but the centre "handle" looks like an asparagus spear. Could it be an asparagus related item?

Hello
I've searched a little bit to find in »925-1000« topic's some asparagus related.
Here I like to show you an asparagus tongs; its made around 1900 from German WMF in nickel silver electro plated - model number is actually unknown to me.
Kind regards silverport

i think the difference between this mark and the mark of Lanson and co is that it isn't in a square. Plus this has the words 'MADE IN ENGLAND SILVER PLATED'.
I still have it here at home with me. :)
