2 Taxco jewelry marks

Post by joycesander »

I inherited a Taxco silver flower pin with matching earrings and also another set of Taxco earrings. I would appreciate help in identifying the artists and the year or period when these pieces were made. To view 12 pictures of the two sets and their taxco marks, please click on or paste in your browser:

Thanks.

The flower set dates from 1979-now. It's a fairly common design done by many unknown artisans.
The earrings date prior to 1948, maker also unknown.
It's more common to not find the maker than it is to be able to find it.
Only famous names seem to affect the value of a piece and their marks are pretty easy to ID.

Thank you all. Still hope someone might know the artist and date.
