Hello »fishnfowl«
Thank you for the image.
The left mark is the maker’s mark — but I couldn’t “see” the figure, letter or cipher of the upper line.
Second mark is the Dutch 833-1,000 fineness mark — in force from 14 December 1814 on.
The third mark is the Assay Office mark, with indication of place — by wear and tear impossible to could be “read” (maybe an A ? = Amsterdam).
Forth mark is the capital script year indication letter O = 1823.
Please do us a favour: Explain what is visible above AVS.
Thank you!
Kind regards silverport

Hello Fishnfowl
I think the little mark above the AVS is a wooden shoe.
The spoon was made by A van Streun
Who worked in Groningen 1816 - 1830 (the last year is not certainly known)
This would fit very well with the yearletter for 1823

Now that you mention it the mark does look like a wooden shoe. THanks
