I believe this could be of Danish origin, but can not be certain. As shown in the photos there are two touch marks on the back. The one I cannot make out as to what it is. The other is obviously a key. Written perpendicular to the two touchmarks is the name E. K. Fepsen 1863. On the front of the spoon are the inititals A.P. along with the date of 1892. Any ideas as to the maker or counrty of origin. Thank you for any assitance.

Baltic. The key & cross is the city mark of Pärnu, Estonia. The maker's mark is worn, but I believe it's "AS" (upside-down in the middle photo) for Andreas Sperl, a silversmith of Austrian birth who became a citizen of Pärnu in 1802 and died there in 1841.

Thank you. You are so correct. From what I just read on another site, the other names (name and initials with differing dates) on the spoon are later owners of the spoon, which I believe was called a captain's spoon? Again thank you.

Yes could be, but more likely no it is not.
When I saw it my idea was possibility of captain spoon. But a captain spoon has to be a gift from a shipsbroken, merchant, shipsowner or similar. A gifth from a company to an individual.
Most likely you have a provience to state that this is given to .... then and then.... at this occation.
When no provience you most have a likely - i.e. you find the company in question, and then we assume that it is.

Remember the people of Parno also had to eat. They also used silver. The question is to find the merchant broker etc with that name - first the you can assume.
