My wife has a large pair of Sugar Tongs, with a sole mark of FQ, which she beleives may be Norwegian, but almost certainly Northern Europe . Pricked date of 1800
Can anyone help with country of origin and maker please

Very many thanks or should I use my one word of Norwegian TAK !
So the name of the silversmith is Ferman Quist [FQ] but what does the Søren/Severin mean ?
Is Severin a ladies name ?
As my wife is very keen on lady silversmiths she would be delighted if this was a woman !

Søren is a man name - and so is Severin.
I soppose that some books write søren and other say that his name is severin.
