Whiting Forks

Thank you. I understood - it is impossible identify the age of spoons.
I have one more question:
I have a forks. WHITING MANUFACTURING COMPANY, Louise XV pattern, Sterling Pat 1891 C. D. Peacock.
Can you tell me the date?

I'm guessing that unless somebody recognizes a slight change in dies that it would be pretty difficult to date your Louis XV pattern pieces because according to "Rainwater" Gorham bought Whiting in 1926 and continued to use their trademark. Then again maybe somebody knows how long the Whiting trademark continued in use. C D Peacock was family owned until the 1970's and the Chicago store was sold to Gordan Jewelry Corporation in 1990, so that's not going to help with an early date.
