Hello,
i hope that someone will be able to help. i have inherited a few bits and pieces amongst which is a sliver powder compact. It seems to have a 'deco' design and is hallmarked 800 with a lozenge carrying a 'fascisio' symbol followed by FI. The maker number i am afraid i cannot quite see - have no equipment for this - but i think is either 33 or 35. external dimensions are 9cm x 6.5cms x 1.5cms, weight 188gms. I am trying to place the item and would be grateful for any observations, comments or information.

Thanks in advance

Hi,

Welcome to the Forum.

I checked out the maker numbers 33 and 35 and neither of those are in business today so unfortunately details are no longer held.

From your description, this item would have been made in Florence (Firenze) during the period 1934-1944.

See: http://www.925-1000.com/Fitalian_marks_01.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Trev.
