A silver saucer, sterling silver?

Just from the wear I'd say not sterling.

Thank you very much, netpicker2000, I think you may be right. in another of my topics, there is a similar mark, in which dognose replied "That looks like a French silver plater's mark (coated or overlaid articles made in France). They are always in a square cartouche and contain the maker's intials, a symbol, and the word 'doublé' (overlaid) in full.", so I think that it's propablely a silverplate item.

I agree with plated. The decoration a belt unusual it is.
But as unusual I have a cup carrying a almost similar engraving. My cup is not marked. I bought it on the internet - mine has a centerpoint, by the picture I mistook that for a hallmark.
Have not any idea regarding origin etc.
