Says One Dollar but has Asian looking marks on it, confuses me greatly. Love to know anything possible.

This is a British trade dollar, minted for trade in the Far East (Hong Kong, primarily, as well as Singapore, and so forth). 1911 seems to have been the most common date, with over 37 million minted. If you hunt around (Google, for example) you will find quite a number of articles and photos of them.

Your markings read: "壹圓" it appears to be a literal translation of "One Dollar".
