help id my old ring

I dont know if my post went through yesterday or it got deleted(if so it would be nice to know why) I have ben having trouble getting a picture of the band of this ring its too thin anyone have any ideas? anyway I posted a pic of the ring since it may help determine who and what year it was made in the thing it says on it is STER. and possibly some kind of silhouette of perhaps a cat or like a lopsided bell with lines around it..or it could just be the mold itself. not sure. I have had this for over 30 year given to me as a chld to play with. Going throught my stuff I found it again.It usually turns black. so far ive polished it and it hasnt.
