Please help with Hallmark

i have this silver small bowl and i just wish to know if anyone could tell me who the maker is. and any other things u may know about it.

i think its from sheffield in 1894 but im amateur so not too sure

The maker of your piece assayed in 1894 is most likely Mark Willis, who was registered with the Sheffield Assay Office and traded from: Exchange Works, 56 Fargate, Sheffield.

def 1894 could be mappin & webb

I'm not sure about Mappin & Webb. I own a couple, and they are marked M & W, not M.W. Also, cannot find any reference to them as M.W.

Could be right not sure about mappin & webb and also had an abberation not 1894 its definitely 1897, must have been on juice at time! Maker?

date lettergothic b...1894 sheffield assay, maker probably early Mappin and Web, they started in 1892, still seems to have rounded rectangle corners as does early Mappin Bros, just missing the & sign !

Yes AGAG your right .wasnt even looking at sheffield when amended date.
