Hello! I'm a new member here, so I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Piotr and I live in Poland. I've had recently acquired this spoon, but couldn't find any info about it. It bears only two acorn (?) marks. I'd appreciate any help with founding it's origin and dating it.
Best regards,
Piotr

Dear Mr. Piotr,
I have seen this hallmark ones before. I believe it could be from Ulm.
But I am not sure.

Here's an article that was found on google books that might relate to this mark: http://books.google.com/books?id=rXUYAA ... &q&f=false" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Thanks for helping me with this spoon. Ulm mark seems to be the most plausible but I couldn't find an identical one. My spoon is probably one of spoons from the linked photo, as the seller from whom I bought it had about 4 of them.
Silverly: I couldn't find any article in your link, it only shows a book info but there's no preview available.

Hi Pitu,

The Google book link that 'Silverly' posted cannot, unfortunately, be seen in Europe, but only in America. This is due to the copyright laws in some European countries being more restrictive than those in the United States. Google vere on the safe side and set the published date of works that can be viewed in Europe much earlier.

Trev.

Here is the section on Ulm page 58. Hand book to foreign hall marks on gold and silver plate, Christopher Alexander Markham 1898. I hope this helps.
