Hello, maker is Koch and Bergfeld from Bremen, Germany. See here

The mark on the right hand side looks like an Austrian import mark, the double-headed eagle was also used in Austria (among other countries), so what we see here in the bowl of the spoon might be an Austrian monument. Best wishes, Bahner

Austrian souvenir spoon, as noted by Bahner, made in Germany - the bowl shows the Monument of Empress Maria Theresa in Vienna, the finial is the Habsburg Imperial Eagle (a quick check into the history of the Queen's Dragoons will explain the connection).

Thanks to both of you...it is wonderful to have some answers as to the significance of the spoon, and the information you both gave was easily verified by looking up the images to match to the spoon. No denying this is a souviner spoon - I'll assume it is safe to say this is late 1800's since the stamping is indicative of that period and it was shortly after the statue was erected. Now only to find out who in my ancestory picked it up.....maybe a soilder.
Again, thank you!
