These chamber sticks are Portugese. Who could the maker be? What period are we talking about?

Zilverik! Please do not make it unnecessary difficult if you want an answer. Your previous question was difficult enough. Kindly use the camera's macro function, which symbol is usually a tulip. Use a photo program. Then crop the photo to the marks only and cut the rest. Next enlarge the picture and improve it. None of us are clairvoyant and I rather not guess what the marks might be. Thank you.

You are right. I am a collector, my photo- and computerskills could be better. Finally I managed to compress photo's for the forum in stead of making just a link, but I agree that this is not the way to present a case. Other presentations are a lot better.
I will do my best to improve it. Your tip to to crop the photo to the marks is very welcome.

Much better dear Zilverik, much better. You seem to learn fast ;-))) This is how marks should be presented. Even if the hallmark is it is a bit worn I read an eagle for Portugal and the town of Porto with 916/1000 fineness (I think I read 916 or is it a roman figure II, no?)- The period is 1938-1984. In case the 916 turns out to be the Roman figure II, the period would be 1887-1937, but I don't think so. But the maker??? No, idea, I have to go back to my sources and try to locate him. Be patient, maybe I will find him....or maybe not ;-))))
