What are these articles intended for?

Hello.
I have two interesting article from Sweden. I suppose, that are toys, but I very doubt.
Maybe, anybody can tell that is it really? Thank you.

Salt and pepper cellars......maybe? The plug in the bottom is missing......maybe? Just guessing-

At first I though one looked like a trumpet mouthpiece, actually both do. However that could also be chess pieces. If from a chess set, I would suspect they are the king and queen, they look to have the right proportions, would love to see what he entire set would look like.
