Hi again,

Just one more piece I recently bought, I think it's German. Any chance to identify the maker by 800DM mark, or at least the period please?

Tnx!

I"ve seen similar pieces listed as Middle Eastern which makes it hard to date since many of their newer pieces are made just like the older ones.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. I thought they used Arabic scripts in the Middle East, not Latin alphabet... I'm a bit confused now. The Indians could use English of course, but the bracelet doesn't look like Indian jewellery at all.

The work looks more like this one to me: http://www.the-office.com/estatejewelry ... 1605-1.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; which was listed as 19th century German (could be wrong but...)

Hi Cheryl,

Yes, I think this is it, thank you very much for the link. So it did turn out to be Asian as ValkyrieVixen suggested. You learn something everyday.

Thank you all!
