Hello, This is my first posting. This site looks amazing and Thank You in advance for even looking at this and trying to help me :)
I have a tea pot, It does not have any numbers marked on it. I am not sure if it is even sterling or plated. I heard that plated silver stinks and this does not stink, so maybe it is sterling? Anyways, it has a rooster who's head and whole body face left and one foot is up, the words "marque Deposee" which I have learned means registered trademark in french, and what appears to be a L on top of a M. I assumed that it is french, with a french word on it. I have looked through this site for 2 days and have found nothing like these marks. Please help me.

Hi,

Welcome to the forum.

Could your teapot be made out of pewter because to me it does look like pewter. You could ask your local jewelry/silver shop to help you out.

Regards,
