An example of the work of George C. Howe of New York:
George C. Howe - Anchor - Head - Six pointed star
Dessert spoon, 7" (18cm) in length, engraved 'WBB'.
Wev's site has it that George Howe was born in New York on the 23rd September 1802, and died there, on the 4th December 1841, aged just 40 years.
