Hi Elena

this item has similar marks. It is identified as being from the Austrian Empire:

What do you think?

Hello Jörg!

I didn't find the similar marks in that discussion, in fact they discuss a silver-plated pot, and my goblet
is silver for sure, and definitely from 18th - the beginning of 19th century. Based on the marks with lions I
assume it's related to Estonia or to Tallin city, but I'd love to be sure instead of assuming. Do you have
more ideas by a chance?

Regards.

marks on first image are surely austrian - mark 12 D is "repunzierungsmarke" from year 1806, used for old silver - so, it is surelly approved, your piece is older than 1806. This re-mark was punched, after paying some tax - 12 kreuzer for every loth Ag. Re-marked item can rest in personal property, items not marked are confiscated.
Letter D in your mark (are used different letters) mean, this was re-punched in Lemberg (Lwow) - so, it is somewhat probable, item was made nearby (of course, is not sure).
Sercond mark, nFRs, is "freimarke" from year 1809 - i have writed some info about in my past post.

Hello! Dear dolpheus, thank you very-very much for the detailed really interesting information.
But could you please more exact formulate for what used nFRs mark. I don't quite understand what the "freimarke" for the big articles means? I apologize for my English :(

Regards.
