Salt cellar in Biedermeier style, unknown town mark; most probably Austria- Hungary; 13 Lot.
Sometimes I buy silver for the sake of research purposes. This mark is most probably Austria — Hungary. Have not seen it so far, not documented, either.Difficult to tell what is at the top,but very distinctive vertical lines.

Dear AG1012,
it's a really interesting mark, unfortunately i haven't seen this before, or similar one either. I'd like to know if there is a makers' mark on it, and if there is, would it be possible to post it, it might help us to find the solution.
regards,

No maker`s mark in this one.Have seen Austrian- Hungary marks incorporating town mark and maker`s mark. This has to be provincial Hungary.
I do not remember if we discussed this one;must be Ujvidek but the dove is incorporated within maker`s mark; probably not to interfere with ``13``Lot in town` mark.

I have also no idea - but the colour is red -
probably a town with a red flag

I bought a zagrabian spoon, and when i see in my sources, i realized, that i saw these marks before (the one with the 3 towers, and the dove with the makers mark).
The town is Zagrab, the maker Franjo Lesnik.
(Peristil;1967-8; 10-11; page 194.)

Have seen this reply just now — have not been here for some time.
This is interesting what you found — I have never seen Agram silver so far.
Three towers and the dove is Ujvidek — there is no doubt about it.
Agram has three towers, too, but a star and crescent. Besides, Ujvidek was well known and documented Hungarian silver guild. As for Agram guild, I have no idea but it makes sense to be Agram; star and crescent are too small to be incorporated into the mark. The dove in the mark I posted is within maker’s mark. So,the dove made me think about Ujvidek.
So, thanks to your research we know three towers are either Agram or Ujvidek with a dove, but not within maker’s mark.
Thank you and best regards

Can you possibly post page 194 in Peristil book you mentioned?
Than you

Hello AG2012!
Here are the copies of the source, that I mentioned. It's from only a phototype, that's the reason of the bad quality, but i think, it's good enough for us now.
First time, when I saw your post, I agreed with you in the possibility, that your item is from Újvidék. But now I don't think.
Regards!

Perfect!
``FL s listićem`` = WITH LEAF in Croatian (Google translate).
So, it is not a dove at all.
Thank you for identifying Agram town mark and the maker.
