Does anyone know anything about Sterling Baby Cups? Is there a reference on this subject? I've been collecting them for about 8 years now and they seem pretty scarce at antique shops. I can find them online such as eBay, but in person very hard. I was just wondering about the manufactures and the collectibility, maybe the different styles and such. Any information would be greatly helpful.

Hello
Please post an image of one from your collection as different countries may know baby cups by a different name.

Children’s silver is outside my area of interest, but my observation is that it is an active collecting field in some parts of the world — cups, baptismal sets, flatware, bowls with under plates, etc. Most is 19thC and early 20thC. Some is presentation silver given by godparents or grandparents, and the accompanying genealogical research fascinates collectors. Collections can be focused on a theme — nursery rhymes, the alphabet, animals, etc. Condition is a major consideration as these objects were often heavily used (and abused) by the children who owned them.
