Hi.
I recently got these shiney spoons from someone with centuries old Polish/Russian roots.

I really like this site is has lots of info on it but I cant find any info on the family crests, makers, or assayers.
The letters on the maker name are so hard to figure out with the curls, and the circle mark just looks like some deformed rooster thing :)
Please help me im so confused.

Your spoons are from Warsaw under Russian rule. The maker is Michal Swinarski ~1850-1882 in Warsaw. The second mark from the left is Swinarski's trade mark a flying dove. The assayer is the same as in your other thread but here he uses Latin letters. I.S that stands for Ios (Josef) Sosikovskij (Cyrillic Osip Sosikovskij O.C See the other thread.)

I'm not so familiar with crests but I don't think it is a crest on the front side. It is more likely a decoration only.

fantastic. thats brilliant info. the makers name on the far left was so hard to read. Swinarski makes sense.
