Japanese silver Musashiya of Yokohama Cocktail Shaker Help

Hello to all, I was wondering if anyone could tell me if this is sterling silver or Pure silver I have been told both.
Also any of help on date I would thin 1880 to 1920's and info would be great =)

Hi Silversurf
"Jungin," literally translated, means "pure silver."
Generally, Japanese "pure silver" was at the same standard or higher than sterling silver (92.5%), but as far as I know the mark itself did not indicate any definite percentage of silver.
There are many ways to test a piece for silver content, as discussed elsewhere in this Forum. Of course, a mere test cannot provide so accurate and absolute an answer as melting down the piece in question. If you do so with the cocktail shaker, I hope you will share the results with us.

Hi All,
Do not tell me this beauty of a cocktail shaker will end up in the melting ovens?
934, 925 or even 800 fineness, a few percentages more or less pure silver used, so what.
The artistic value, in my eyes, is far more important!

Thank you David again for all y our help, To Oel, I have already made a few pinkie rings out of it ;)
No I would never melt something. I Have been told it is Pure silver and I have been told Sterling.
So i guess I japan they are better much the same if not close.
