Hi there,
this is a huge silver tray, the origin of which I am not too sure - possibly German??I Have done some research, but could not find a match. Hopefully someone out there will recognize it! In addition to the hallmarks, there is a third mark, it is just too small to get a clear photo - I have done my best with it!! The centre depicts a battle scene - hopefully you can make it out.. Would be really grateful for any information about it... Many thanks, Jo

Hi Jojo,

Yes it's German, 13 Loth is 812/1000 purity silver before 1886.

The eagle is of the city Aachen.

But it is maybe Hanau hallmarks.

Wait for another answers/opinion.

Best

Hi Vervene, thank you for your response! I had looked though all the pre 1886 marks and couldn't see one that quite matched - I would be interested to find out roughly when it was made and where. Although the eagle does look like a close match for Aachen as you suggested! Hopefully someone can add further info! Thanks again for taking the time to respond.... Best wishes, Jo.
