We have this item that came to our store. Customer said it is circa 1700’s but not sure. It measures 6.5 inches high and weights 380 Grams. Looked all over the web and can’t match it. Please help us in identifying its origin and year?

Hi,

Welcome to the Forum.

The '800' mark looks typical of the type used in Italy since 1934.

See: http://www.925-1000.com/Fitalian_marks_01.html

Just offering a possibility here, nothing more.

The mark shown looks like it relates to the arms of Venice.

The business of Zennaro Giovanni fu Luigi may well be the maker of this item.

Hi
let us know if looking carefully you are able to find one more mark ( a lozenge with cut sides with two letters and a number inside).
