Does anyone know the maker on this c.1800 French beaker? Also, I have no idea what the other mark is.

Hi Miles,

It appears not French, but Italian.

Does the 'N' have a line running through it? If so see: http://www.925-1000.com/forum/viewtopic ... 99&p=80856

Elio & Corrado Catello's Marchi dell’Argenteria Napoletani dal XVI al XIX secolo (Sorrento: Franco Di Mauro, 1996) lists the maker's mark on page 87, but unfortunately says it is that of an unknown 19th century Neapolitan silversmith. It does note that there a communion paten in the Salerno Cathedral by this maker. Not much help, I'm afraid.
