Birmingham, victorian, signet ring, maker's mark: GJ

Hello,
could anybody give me information on the maker GJ from Birmingham?
I own a worn sterling silver ring with the maker's mark GJ, the anchor, the lion passant and what I read as an "S" indicating probably 1867. The piece resembles a signet ring. It has a coin (about 18 mm in diameter) inserted in the middle. On one side the young Queen Victoria with a small crown is presented. The other side shows St. George slaying a dragon (on the front side of the ring). It is inscribed "ST. GEORGE" and "VICTORIA REGINA". The coin does not state any value and has no date stamped on it. Due to its colour, I assume it is made of silver.
I am grateful for any information on the maker GJ and maybe a more experienced comment on the timeframe.
