I am trying to ID the maker of a couple of spoons and also the date letter is not easy to decipher due to the marks being bottom struck, it could be an S possibly for either 1675 or 1695 (crowned leopard present for London), but I am probably incorrect and way out on the date.

The makers mark looks like T.C or T.G

The stems look like those of 18th century spoons, I assume Hanoverian, so I would suggest 1773 and Thomas Chawner, a known and prolific spoonmaker.

Thanks for that, I was 99% doubtful that they were 17th century.

The spoons are actually old English pattern, I should have mentioned that previously, apologies.

On the basis of the photos I would probably go for “s”, but you have the advantage of seeing the spoons “in the flesh”. Either way, Old English fits in nicely with the 1770s by which time Hanoverian was on its way out as far as English flatware is concerned.
You were right to feel very tentative about an earlier date. The reason I commented on the stem shape in my earlier post was that in 1675 and 1695 the Trefid pattern held sway with it broader, flat stem on which the marks did not suffer the squashing found on later spoons as a result of tidying up the shape and finishing the spoons after they had been marked.
