Can anyone help to identify this silver mark?

I haven't come across any markings like this before, it is silver, anyone have an idea?

Hi,
We've had similar markings on the forum before at least a couple of times, but I don't think anyone has come to a conclusion yet, apart from the thoughts that this is from south east Asia.

Have always known similar boxes, found in both silver and silverplate, as Cambodian - Khmer betel/animal boxes...

Hello, asked a friend from Cambodia, she said it reads like Rioll or Wioll (not sure as the pic is a little fuzzy), which is not a word but a name, either that of the maker or the owner. She does not know what this is for but will ask her Dad. Regards, Bahner
