I have encountered a mark on what is probably silver plate...WH & S B P
I am assuming that it is William Hutton and Sons....I wonder about the meaning of the BP. I'm new at this.

scroll to Brittania Metal - thats most likel the meaning.

'British Plate', an 'Improved German Silver', Hutton was advertising it as early as the 1830s.
