This photo contribution is of an early 1900s art nouveau sterling silver mesh flapper-style bag with chain and finger ring.

It's quite heavy and features a skilfully detailed goddess water/lily scene in repousse (buildings are also depicted) - same scene to both sides of the bag frame.

The female depicted is reminiscent of Greek goddesses Venus or Hebe.

The silver mesh is not of a type commonly seen and is finished nicely on both sides (inside & out).

Unfortunately the nose of this silver goddess has been slightly damaged on both sides (from original use and wear).

I haven't completed the research yet.

Just thought the photos might be of some value here.
