Hi everyone!

First of all, a quick hello, I'm new to this forum... basically found it while coming up with dead ends after searching for a mark on a ring. This ring was in my late mother's jewellery collection and I've been having trouble working out the date and maker's mark. I think there's a mark from chester import assay or something, and not sure which B in the date lists this one is... but more than, I'm stumped with the A K maker mark in diamond shapes... I can find various AK makers, but not with this shape. Please could someone identify this, and if possible, the date?

Your mark is not Chester but London for 1976, if you contact the London Assay Office they may be able to help with the sponsor mark.

Did you ever find any information on that ring. I'm a metal detectorist in Ontario Canada and found a ring with the same A K dating to about 1976. please let me know. thanks
