I have another mint julep cup that I think is coin but I'm not sure. Forgive me if this is the wrong area to have posted. I cannot make out the maker's mark. It appears to be Wm H_ _ _ _N. There also is some sort of D mark over stamp. Any thoughts?

Good morning,
Went through the American makers marks here, Silver flatware fashions, and American Silversmiths. The only name remotely close to Wm H___N was William M. Hinton with no cartouche. Also the second to the last letter on your mark appears to be the corner of an A.
Good luck in your search

I'm pretty sure the maker is William H. Ewan, Charleston SC. Can anyone confirm? Opinions are greatly appreciated!

Does appear to be Ewan's mark:
American Marks - E2 - perhaps just my failing eyesight, but looks like it might be struck over another mark? The 'D' is most likely for 'Dollar', an indicator of the quality.

There is the top of the W and the M, the very left corner of the E. The right leg of the A and the N with that little flick on the top right. There are two other examples at Silver Flatware Fashions, one is similar to the one here at 925.
Good eye Angela.
