Pillbox- two sets of marks, please help! :)

This cute little pillbox was purchased in Holland, and we were told it was originally made there...but once we started researching the markings it doesn't appear to be so. The problem is there are two sets of marks and I'm unable to figure out what they all mean, any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated!

Outside of the pillbox:

First set found along the inside rim, showing the Switzerland Grouse if I'm not mistaken:

Second set found inside the lid:

Thank you!

Hi DJ,welcome to the forum.

You are right about the Swiss Grouse see:

The 2nd mark could be a retailer's mark.

Yes, Swiss grouse. The S in the star could be atelier Spitzbart in Zürich. Could be the retailer. The 800 on the left looks like the 800 attached to the Jezler mark from around 1900. Is there anything left of the 800?

Sorry, no references. I am mobile currently far away from home. Response is by hard.

Regards

Jörg

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you, but thank you for the replies!

No, there is nothing else to the left of the 800. Any idea of how to "date" this piece?

Hi, this particular Swiss domestic silver mark; the right facing grouse in this particular shield has been used between 1882 up till 1934. In 1935 the Swiss changed the right facing grouse a little and placed it into a completely different shield.

Let us say your pill box and particular style of engraving is late 19th century.
