Here is an odd spoon (12cm) which I have identified as 1851 Dutch, but I'm not sure of the maker's mark to the right or what the 2 beneath the lion means. Also, is this a usual design in Holland.

The style is actually very typical of mid-19th century Dutch silver. The "2" beneath the lion stands for the second silver standard of .833. I detect the tip of a well-worn letter "M" in Perseus' helmet; this the mark of the assay office in Schoonhoven, which was open 1837-1984. Finally, the maker's mark appears to be "CM78"; this is the mark of Cornelis Monteban of Schoohoven, working 1843-1880.
