Unknown Makers Mark - is this JM on this sterling platter?

All,

I am having trouble decoding / recognizing the makers mark on this piece. It is a heavy weight platter - weighs in at almost 12 troy ounces. So far from the marks I have identified sterling, london. The maker marks appear to be maybe a J and M - but I am very questionable about this J. Any thoughts on helping to identify it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.
Charlie

Thank you! You led me in the right direction. See this list under James Morison:

Looks about spot on.
Thank you!
