1893 Dutch Silver Mounted Glass Decanter- Maker Mark Help

Hey everyone. This is a pair of silver mounted decanters. I know that they are Dutch and have been able to date them to 1893 which corresponds to the "J" mark. Also- there is a lion passant mark with a 2 under it (at least .833 purity) and has the key mark next to it so this item was for export. There is also a duty mark present. I have been researching for quite some time and am not able to locate the Maker- whose mark is "A dP." Any help is greatly appreciated. Have a great weekend everyone and thanks again.

Hi Gary, welcome to the Dutch forum.
Although your image not clearly shows the maker's mark but as you wrote,
AdP in a rectangle for: Aart de Pleijt, registered in the city of Schoonhoven from 1892/1896. The date letter for 1893 is the Gothic I, looks like a fancy script letter J. The mark you call a duty mark would be the assay office mark or Minerva head and if clearly punched, you should recognize the regional assay office letter M in its helmet for the city of Schoonhoven.

Oel-
Thank you so much for the help. I actually looked through the post you made while researching this piece- it is very helpful.
Do you know where I can find examples of Aart de Pleijt pieces? I tried to do an internet search but nothing comes up. Thanks again!

Gary,
Aart de Pleijt was the son of Schoonhovense silversmith, his name pops up in some auction results

Tasbeugel
Beschrijving: Zilveren tasbeugel gemaakt tot spiegel, Aart de Pleijt Schoonhoven 1892-1896, met gegraveerd floraal decor, 11x12 cm
Purse frame
Description: Silver purse frame made into mirror, Aart de Pleijt Schoonhoven 1892-1896, with engraved floral decoration, 11x12 cm
The father Willem de Pleijt is better known, Schoonhoven 1851-1878, his son probably worked for another silversmith and at a later stage started his own business, times were hard during those years

An image Google search; willem de pleijt zilver will reveal more.
At the moment no access to my library but I will further check after 9th of December
