A trophy?

I bought this item that I don’t know how to name exactly.
It looks like a trophy, but the initials and the word "souvenir" do not fit.
The interior is gilded and decorations with grapes and vine leaves suggest that it is made to drink wine.
The marks are “800” and “GD”, which are not a good clue.
For the style and type of engraving I think that is not Italian.
Can someone give some indication on this?
