Need help with a silver box I found

Hi, I recently found this gorgeous little silver box and would like to know more about it. It is solid silver with a gold wash, and has hand cut rose diamonds on the front (1 missing). It seems like it's either a snuff box or cigarette case. Size wise, I'd say cigarette case, but there is a painting inside of poppy trees so that's why I considered snuff to be a possibility. It seems Asian in origin, but I really don't know. There is a hallmark inside (pictured) that I haven't been able to match anywhere. If anyone has an idea as to what this is, when it's from, who made it.
