Unknown Hallmarks & Makers Mark on Coin Purse

The attached photos show an alligator skin coin purse that has four silver corners or edges. Each of these edges has a series of three hallmarks and a maker's mark L.K. I did some research online but I was unable to identify the country, year or maker. There is an inscription written on the inside of the purse that includes the date 15-7-16. Based on the inscription it appears that the coin purse was a gift to a soldier before going to war. Since the inscription is in English, I thought that the hallmarks could be British but they don't fit British hallmarks. I would appreciate help in identifying these hallmarks and the maker.
